Julia Hankey (1798-1877)

 

Only daughter of John Peter Hankey of Finchley; born on 2 Apr 1798 and baptised on 4 May at St Dunstan in the East.

She was married on 6 Oct 1829 to Seymour Thomas Bathurst (1796-1834), third son of 4th Earl Bathurst and brother of 5th Earl.

Their son Allen Alexander Bathurst (1832-1892), 6th Earl Bathurst, was married secondly on 6 Jun 1874 at Fetcham to his third cousin Evelyn Elizabeth Barnard Hankey (1847-1927), only daughter of George Barnard Hankey of Fetcham Park.

Julia lived at Highams, Chobham; she died at 20 Grosvenor Gardens on 22 Feb 1877, leaving an estate of £120,000.
